Azro Media is a media production company that develops and produces content that inspires and uplifts.

Azro Media’s first project, the feature film A Girl Like Grace, premiered at the  LA Film Festival in June 2015, and was selected for Urbanworld Film Festival 2015.

Steven Anderson, Executive Producer

Steven Anderson has built an extensive career starting and running projects and businesses, and brings his business experience and creative insight to the films he produces. As a producer, he is committed to creating probing stories that challenge our assumptions and raise our social consciousness.

Anne Anderson, Writer/Producer

Anne Anderson started her career as an actor in equity waiver theatre in Los Angeles and in short films. She then turned her interest to screenwriting and earned her MFA in Screenwriting at the American Film Institute. Anderson was a semi-finalist for the Nicholl’s Screenwriting Fellowship and since then, has written several feature-length scripts. As co-founder of Azro Media, she is committed to making films that are both entertaining and consciousness-raising.

Amy Harrison, Director/Producer

Amy Harrison, co-producer of A Girl Like Grace, is an award-winning filmmaker of short scripted and unscripted films and videos. She is passionate about socially relevant storytelling, featuring strong female protagonists and underrepresented communities. Her previous work has won festival awards, and has screened at such venues as New York’s Film Forum, London’s BBC Short Film Festival, Slamdance, Museum of Modern Art, Ann Arbor Film Festival, and more. She produced and directed the documentary Guerrillas In Our Midst about the art activists the Guerrilla Girls and their critique of the bias against women and artists of color in the blue chip art world. She has produced work for Comedy Central, the Ms. Foundation for Women, the PBS series In the Life, MTV, and more. She recently directed and produced the short narrative Miss Finknagle Succumbs to Chaos, currently in distribution.
